Dr. Stephen Wiles, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the founder and president of Wiles Eye Center. Dr. Wiles is one of the nation’s leading cataract surgeons and has lectured nationally on minimally invasive cataract surgery. His techniques have helped define the most common techniques of operating room efficiency. The Micro-Touch Cataract procedure has refined cataract surgery to minimize operating room time, invasiveness, complications and recovery time. Dr. Wiles is considered one of the best cataract surgeons in Kansas City, MO.
Dr. Wiles has been helping to restore and preserve vision in the field of ophthalmology for more than 25 years. He is a Trabectome Certified Trainer and has been published in multiple publications for his superior knowledge of cataract procedures and intraocular lens implants. Additionally, Dr. Wiles is one of the only ophthalmologists in the Midwest trained to perform an iStent implant surgery – a revolutionary new implant to help control pressure in the eye for glaucoma patients. Dr. Wiles practices at both our Kansas City, MO eye clinic and our St. Joseph eye clinic.
In addition to serving as the founder and president of Wiles Eye Center, Dr. Wiles volunteers and contributes to several charitable organizations. Most recently Dr. Wiles completed a trip to Peru to provide sight-saving eye care to people in need.
